Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Bob Dailey's 1979-80 Flyers game-worn playoffs jersey is photo matched to a shot of the big defenceman at the end of the last game of Philadelphia's semi-final series win over Minnesota, when they advanced to the Stanley Cup final against the New York Islanders. The lower placement of the black twill surname letter "I" sewn on the white mesh nameplate shows clearly in the photo as does the distinct shape of the big team repair on the right rear hem. Loads of pilling below the fight strap inside the rear tail. There are board burns with red paint transfer and unrepaired burn holes on the left front and rear hems at the hip and more at the right hip with a team repair to a big hole to the right of the 2 on back. Goodman’s size XL tagging in the back of the neck has a washed-out flag tag with what appears to be “Long” in red lettering that can’t quite be made out. More game wear shows in marks and burns on the sleeves.
