Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Finnish-born goaltender Jani Hurme was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers after a short stint in Florida, but never played a game for the Thrashers due a serious illness that took two years to recover from. This 2003-2004 Goalie-Cut jersey was prepared for Hurme at that time and includes a size 58 Goalie Style tag in the collar and features two patches - one to commemorate the team's fifth season in the NHL, and the "37" patch is in memory of Dan Snyder, who was killed in a car crash just prior to the season. This Koho game-issued jersey has a "MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season" registry tag sewn on the hem and matches the LOA signed by representatives of the Meigray Group and the National Hockey League.
