Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Doug Favell joined the Colorado Rockies in the late-70s and it was during his time in the Mile-High City that Favell protected his good looks with this game-used Cooper helmet and cage. This blue gamer features Favell's number "1" on the back and with the screened "Cooper" name on the front and sides showing wear and flaking. The inside padded cushion and chin protection remain intact, and this gamer shows marks and scratches throughout from the obvious abuse a goalie takes on a nightly basis. A slight crack is noticeable on the right side, and remnants of white tape are on the sides of the cage. The mask comes with a LOA signed by Favell. [red]Addendum; The Favell's game-worn Lange goalie skates which were originally part of this lot have been withdrawn at the request of Doug Favell as he will be wearing them in the 2014 Winter Classic festivities in which he will be playing. The reserve on this lot was also lowered.[/red]
