Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Flyers backup goalie Bobby Taylor was actually the first goalie to wear the Badger Mask style that is more commonly associated with Wayne Stephenson. Originally obtained from Taylor, this is the game-worn mask he used with the Flyers, unpainted and white. The mask got its original distinctive paint job during the 1975-76 season and Taylor wore it that way for only a few games before he was traded to Pittsburgh and the Flyers paint job was removed and the mask painted white. Renowned mask maker Greg Harrison faithfully repainted the mask in Flyers colors and added a clear-coat for protection. The restored paint job in orange and black covers the various chips, marks and cracks from game use that show more clearly in the white portions, which displays red paint transfer on the left side. A classic Flyers game-worn mask with its distinctive paint job restored by the one and only Greg Harrison. Comes with Taylor's signed LOA.
