Gorgeous white Nike jersey worn by Wade Redden in Turin, Italy during the 2006 Olympic Games. Screened in the collar as a size 60, with an "IIHF" patch sewn-on just below, this Redden Olympic gamer features several marks on both sleeves, with some paint transfer on the front noticeable as well. The retro "Canada" patches are sewn on each shoulder, and on the inside hem is a "Nike" bar code sticker. Redden and his teammates would wear these white jerseys three times over their six games played in Turin, including their final game against Russia. Comes with an LOA. Wayne Gretzky put together a seemingly invincible team for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games held in Turin, Italy. With Brodeur in net, Pronger and Blake along the blue line and Sakic, Iginla, Thornton, Heatley, St. Louis and Nash up front, Canada looked like the team to beat…on paper. After a strong opening exhibition match against Italy and another good showing versus the Germans, the boys were shut out twice in the next three games and failed to score once more in a loss to Russia that eliminated Canada from medal contention. The three matches included the exhibition opener, a 7-1 defeat of Italy, the devastating loss to Switzerland on February 18th and against the Russians February 22nd, 2006. The revolutionary white Nike Swift Redden gamer has the embroidered Team Canada crest on the front, while red and black side and arm striping accents the look, and the two-tone tackle twill number "6" sits on each sleeve and again on the back below the nameplate.
