Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Truly rare 1972 Summit Series game puck is one of only 50 or so that were made for use in one of the four Canadian games of the legendary 8-game confrontation between Team Canada and the U.S.S.R. Puck enthusiasts and Summit Series collectors will covet an opportunity like this to obtain one of the hobby's most highly-sought game pucks. A rubber-crested Hockey Canada logo appears on the front of this Biltrite B1 slug with the company's trademark "Made in Canada" in tiny raised letters on the otherwise blank back. This rarity is in pretty nice condition overall with plenty of marks, including a gouge on the bottom edge, and dings that do not diminish its display. Who knows when another chance like this will come along! There is some very light crazing to the rubberized Hockey Canada logo on the face, which has little bits of red color loss to the maple leaf from marks.
