Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Battle-scarred early-1990s Winnipeg Blue Bombers gamer was worn by Canadian offensive lineman David Black. Black spent 11 seasons with the Blue Bombers from 1985-96 and was inducted into the Blue Bombers' Hall of Fame in 2005. Speedline Athletic Wear size XL manufacturer’s tagging with Black’s number 51 written on it and underlined in black marker is sewn on the left front tail. Three team repairs on the left shoulder include one in the middle of the heat-screened vinyl numbers, which display solid burns. There is another sewing fix with an unrepaired hole beside the collar on the top of the right shoulder. The heat-screened blue and gold bands on the sleeves are very weathered and dried-out, and both sleeves have unrepaired holes below the logos, including an adjacent team repair on the right cuff. Black marks are found all over this Blue Bombers game-worn jersey which saw more than its fair share of CFL game action.
