One of the most productive players in CFL history, Tommy Joe Coffey entered the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1977 as one of the league’s greatest receivers, as well as one of its highest-scoring kickers. From Tommy Joe’s personal collection, the Eskimos and Tiger-Cats great recalls receiving this photo plaque from the CFHOF at his induction ceremony. Fantastic action shot of Tommy Joe on the follow through of his old-school kicking style in his Tiger-Cats #75 uniform is displayed on a 10x8 laminate plaque with “Tommy Joe Coffey, Hall of Fame Induction, November 6, 1977” engraved on a gold-colored plaque affixed to the bottom right corner. The CFHOF Induction Dinner program from Tommy Joe’s Class of 1977 is included among eight CFHOF Induction Dinner programs, including 1972, 1974-77, 1988 (2), and 1990. A picture of Tommy Joe’s CFHOF 1977 induction details displayed in an 11x9 black frame includes an image of him posing in his Tiger-Cats uniform and a brief bio and career awards and honors. Rounding out the lot is a small stack of cards including Tommy Joe’s 1963 Topps card (G/VG), as well as his 1971 O-Pee-Chee (VG) and 1980s Jogo Canadian Football HOF card. Also included are (23) 1980 Topps baseball cards (G/VG), (10) 1979-80 O-pee-Chee (G/VG) and 1977-78 O-Pee-Chee Savard (G). This lot comes with Tommy Joe Coffey’s signed letter of authenticity.
