Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Serious CFL collectors will likely be enthusiastic over these very scarce 2" by 3-1/8" magic rub-off transfers, the first CFL inserts, which came one-a-pack in 1961. Hobby experts debate whether 24 or 27 constitute a complete set, with 16 beauties offered here, some with original gum powder still present! Near mint stars Parker, Patterson, Ploen, Fleming, Gilchrist and Lewis lead the way, with Hill, Jeter, McDougall and Ptacek also present, along with Lions, Eskimos, Tiger-Cats, Alouettes and Rougriders team logos/pennants, all crease-free. We spot a tiny corner crease in the Joe Kapp transfer. Cool items are destined for a CFL Hall of Fame-caliber collection. Fortunately, some youngster over 50 years ago, didn't like "tattoos!"
