Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

The lucky winner of this special 1999 Dodge Durango truck is going to want anyone who rides in it to look in the glove box. That's because Wayne Gretzky placed a bold silver paint pen autograph there after the Great One sold his 1999 NHL All-Star Game MVP truck to our consignor! This is the actual Dodge Durango truck that Wayne received after claiming MVP honors in his All-Star Game swan song in Tampa. Gretz scored the last of his 13 All-Star goals and added two assists to lead the North American team to an 8-6 win over the World All-Stars at the Ice Palace on January 24, 1999. Wayne claimed his third All-Star MVP award as he wrapped up his career in style with 25 ASG points after his wife Janet had encouraged him to "go win the truck." This is one All-Star prize Gretzk didn't give away as he actually put 31,000 miles on it before selling it, with Wayne dating his glove box autograph "2001". The truck has been stored in a climate controlled environment since and it is in practically as-new condition. Already a top of the line, fully-loaded model, this beauty was tricked up a little bit for Wayne by his brother-in-law. Janet's brother added after-market chrome aluminum wheels, dual exhaust and a custom rear valance where the two pipes exit. The truck is located in California and any fees for vehicle transfer, transit, shipping or pick-up, customs/import fees, registration and license plates, and insurance are not included and will be at the charge of the buyer. Please take note that this item may be subject to a silent reserve.
