Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
From one of the senior citizens of the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs Cup-winning squad, Allan Stanley, comes a CCM Custom Pro stick with "Stanley" and his pale number "26'" stamped on the upper part of the shaft, with 15 players from that special team penning their names and one, Eddie Shack, placing his infamous stamp on it. Others who have signed this stick include Tim Horton, Dave Keon, Frank Mahovlich, Johnny Bower, Marcel Pronovost, and Stanley among others. The stick shows remnants of tape on the blade, has various marks throughout, and the handle is shaved on the edges, but we can't ascertain this as being game-used. The signatures are in blue ballpoint and are all clear and legible with the exception of Shack's stamp which is faded. Stanley's has a touch of fading but remains legible. Other signatures on this 1966-67 C.C.M Custom Pro "Allan Stanley" stick include Ron Ellis, Red Kelly, Pete Stemkowski, George Armstrong, Jim Pappin, Mike Walton, Jim McKenny, and trainers Bobby Haggart and Tommy Naylor.
