Gorgeous painting of Black Hawks owner Frederic McLaughlin is the original by the late Carleton McDiarmid used for the production of the 1983 Hockey Hall of Fame postcard set. Watercolor-on board painting displays to 10 1/4" x 15" as mounted in a grey matte and 17" x 21 1/2" black wood frame. McLaughlin secured Chicago's NHL franchise for the 1926-27 season and under his ownership the Hawks won the city's first two Stanley Cups in 1934 and 1938. He died in 1944 and entered the HOF posthumously as a builder in 1963. Comes with McLaughlin's 1983 HOF hockey card with this painting serving as the artwork.
