Fantastic 1926 Chicago Stadium plat survey framed display features a document that predates construction of the original Madhouse on Madison, which broke ground on July 2, 1928. This original 17 3/4" x 24" plat document is dated January 5, 1926 and bears the embossed City of Chicago seal of approval in the bottom right corner. The plat, a cadastral map showing the boundaries and ownership of land, depicts the four city blocks upon which Chicago Stadium would be built bounded by Warren Avenue and Wood, Lincoln and Madions Streets, with an alley bisecting the middle. Displayed in a beige matte mounted in a 25" x 30 1/2" wood frame. The plat has one vertical fold crease through the middle and two horizontal fold creases. There are some wavy folds at the bottom of the plat and folds in the bottom portion of the matte. There is a water stain mark on the bottom portion of the paper covering the reverse.
