His booming shot, his larger than life personality, his on-ice presence, especially on the formidable Habs' power play, made Bernard Geoffrion a true legend of the game, and most-deservedly a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame. And it all began with him winning the esteemed Calder Trophy. This large heavy silver plated commemorative platter bears the engraved text "Souvenir of the Calder Trophy, awarded to the player adjudged to be most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League, won by Bernard Geofrrion Club De Hockey Canadien Inc Season 1951-52".
