Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Hall-of-Famer Patrick Roy helped make the Colorado Avalanche's inaugural season absolutely unforgettable. Acquired from Montreal in a blockbuster trade in December 1995, St. Patrick led the Avs to playoff series wins over the Canucks, Black Hawks and Red Wings as the former Nordiques reached the Stanley Cup final in their first season after relocating from Quebec City to Denver. The Avalanche swept the Florida Panthers to claim their first Cup, and Patrick drank from Lord Stanley's silver chalice for the third time in his illustrious career. Roy had this shimmering replica made for display purposes by Boffey. Similar in every detail to the Cup trophy Roy received back in the day, it stands 13" tall with "Colorado Avalanche 1995-96" engraved on the front of the barrel and the names of GM Pierre Lacroix, coach Marc Crawford and executives Michel Goulet among the staff below. Three columns at the bottom list all of the players, including fellow HOFer Sakic and the likes of Forsberg, Lemieux, Deadmarsh, Kamensky, Foote, Krupp, Lefebvre, Keane, Ricci, Young, Murray, Ozolinsh, Leschyshyn, Klemm, Wolanin, Gusarov, Simon, Rychel, Hannan, Yelle and Corbet. Part of the proceeds of the sale of this item will go towards the "Fond d'etudes des Remparts de Quebec". Comes with Patrick Roy's signed LOA who also signed the bottom of the trophy's base. [red] Addendum; Also included is an 8" x 10" signed photo of Patrick Roy with seven of his trophies offered in the auction including this one.[/red]
