Unopened wax boxes always present mysteries (what’s inside?!), but even more so does this 1981-82 Topps affair, since the company’s 198-card set that year was broken up into different releases – East and West. Cards 1-66 were the same in both but different players were featured on cards numbered 67-132, with “East” or “West” appearing beneath the numbers. There’s no way to tell what’s inside this box without opening a pack. Shrink-wrapped box includes 36 packs which each feature 13 cards. Possible pulls include early Gretzky and Bourque cards and RCs of Savard, Kurri, Murphy, Ciccarelli and Stastny. Fun 30-year old stuff!
