This scarce program and ticket stub are from the Boston Bruins' last season at the old Arena on St Botolph Street, before moving into the brand new Boston Garden the following year. Their opponents on this December 27, 1927 night were the New York Rangers, in just their second NHL season. The Bruins would win 2-0 backed by a Hal Winkler shutout (one of 15 that season), but the Rangers would later go on to eliminate Boston in the playoffs en route to their first ever Stanley Cup championship. The lucky fan who attended this game would have seen Eddie Shore and rookie Dit Clapper go up against the "Bread Line" of Frank Boucher between Bill and Bun Cook. Both program and ticket stub are in wonderful EX+ condition.
