Jacques Lemaire won the Jack Adams Award and the Sporting News' award as the NHL's top coach in 2002-03, and rightfully so! Lemaire guided Minnesota to a 42-29-10 regular season mark, leading the Wild to two playoff series wins before they bowed to Anaheim in the Western Conference final. All in the team's third year of existence! Lemaire's personal miniature Jack Adams Award features a covered cup atop a wood base with an image of the Red Wings' HOF coach on a metal plaque that explains the award. "Jacques Lemaire - Minnesota Wild - 2002-03" is engraved on a plaque on the front of the 7x13 base of this trophy, which stands approximately 16" high with the original player missing atop the cup and replaced by another. A very rarely offered NHL award, it is in beautiful condition and signed under the base by Lemaire. It comes along with his Sporting News NHL Coach of the Year award from the same season, a 6" tall polished glass trophy. Jacques Lemaire's signed LOA is included with this lot.
