Over the course of his outstanding CFL playing career, Peter Dalla Riva rubbed shoulders with a range of sports celebrities and was involved in numerous publicity campaigns. This lot includes sports memorabilia that Dalla Riva accumulated over the years such as original Louisville Slugger baseball bats from Montreal Expos players Tony Scott and Pepe Mangual, an autographed Ferguson Jenkins baseball, a souvenir puck from the opening of the Molson Centre and a souvenir World League Wilson football. Memorabilia from Dalla Riva's junior football career in Burlington, Ontario, include a souvenir modern Braves jersey made up for Dalla Riva with his name and familiar No. 74, 1979 and 1980 Braves yearbooks, a 2005 Braves program signed by Dalla Riva and Tony Gabriel, a 1990 plaque from the team to Dalla Riva in recognition of his 25 years of service to Canadian football and a pair of pewter mugs, including one from the 1966 Braves. Two laminated Miller Lite celebrity club photos of Dalla Riva with Boom-Boom Geoffrion, Henri Richard and Claude Raymond are among the promotions he worked on, along with a Superstars promo photo with Dalla Riva, Gabriel, Dionne, Walton, Peter Mahovlich, Napier and Evanshen, a Homelite chainsaw ad photo proof, a Penmans ad display poster with Carter, Salming, Dalla Riva, Lafleur and Meeker, and a Montreal 1976 Olympic coins poster featuring Dalla Riva and Paul Henderson. Three laminated wall hangings include a 1974 photo of Dalla Riva and Wade with Montreal mayor Drapeau and the front page of the Montreal Gazette sports section following the 1970 Grey Cup win.
