Scott Stevens toiled for 22 seasons in the National Hockey League, three of them finishing in Stanley Cup glory. Offered is Stevens' game-worn red air-knit New Jersey Devils jersey from the 1996-97 season. Tagged in the neck by CCM with "4" hand written in feint ballpoint and a size 56 fly tag off to the side. The team's set tag in hem reads "Official New Jersey Devils Playoff Set 1995-96 Season" but as the Devils failed to make the playoffs, the jersey was used in 1996-97 and this fact is proclaimed as a "1996-97 road set 1" on the included team LOA. The uniform has been modified for Stevens by adding an extra inch-and-a-half of jersey material to widen the sleeves and body and two lengths of fight strap have been attached together to give it extra length. Game wear includes stick marks and board burns with a large team repair up on the left shoulder and another on the left arm. Comes with a comprehensive package of authenticating documents including a MeiGray Group certificate of registry, a letter of authenticity on Devils letterhead signed by Lou Lamoriello and two additional letters.
