The Hartford Whalers grabbed Chris Pronger with the second pick of the 1993 NHL entry draft after Ottawa selected Alexandre Daigle first overall. Pronger recorded five goals, 25 assists and 113 penalty minutes and was named to the NHL's All-Rookie team in his first season and added another 14 points over 53 games in 1994-95 before being dealt to the Blues. Pronger's #44 is handwritten in black marker on the CCM label that appears sewn into the neck along with a size 56 fly tag. Game wear is lighter on this example but we do spot a few dozen black stick marks and scuffs throughout along with a couple of board burns. A nice defunct style worn by the towering blueliner, and Hart and Norris winner, during his two seasons in New England.
