Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Bold black Ottawa Senators uniform worn by the team's 2nd overall pick from 1992 NHL Entry Draft. Alexei Yashin wore this example in 1993-94 according to the style and the notable absence of the 100th Anniversary of the Stanley Cup patch which graces the jerseys from the pervious year. Maska Ultrafil and size 56 fly tags are in the neck while the CCM and NHL logos are embroidered into the rear hem. With a nice big shimmering gold, red and black Sens crest and "Yashin" in black tackle twill letters on the nameplate, the jersey features dozens of black stick marks scattered across the front, back and on the sleeves and shoulders, the result of the opposition's attempts to slow the big talented center. A handful of board burns can be found at the elbows. Fantastic shirt from a player who now toils back home in Russia despite owning 337 National Hockey League regular season markers.
