Stockholm, Sweden played host to the 1954 rendition of the IIHF's World Ice Hockey Championships. The host country would battle hard throughout the tournament, finally settling for a third place finish. Canada lost 7-2 in the final to the Russians, who took their first World Championship. Heavy bronze medal (with "Bronze" stamped on the edge) features a raised image of a goaltender on the front, the maker's name and "1954", while the International Ice Hockey Federation's name (in French and English) and its logo appears on the opposite side. In excellent condition with some light glue residue on the back.
