Late-1970s gold finger ring presented to WHA team executive John F. Bassett to mark the merger between the World Hockey Association and the National Hockey League. Produced by Jonsil, in 10K gold, according to markings inside the band, the ring features a red stone at the top with the letters "WHA" surrounded by "World Hockey Association". One shank has the raised "Bassett" with a shield design below and the other side has a sculpted WHA logo. Size 10.5 in excellent condition. John F. Bassett, the son of media mogul and former Leafs part-owner John Bassett, was owner of the Toronto Toros from 1973 to 1976 and President of the Birmingham Bulls from 1976 to 1979.
