Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010

Curtis Joseph has signed across the white tape job on the front of the blade of his game-used Louisville goalie stick. Joseph, who retired at the end of the 2008-09 season, currently sits fourth on the all-time wins list with 454, behind only Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy and Ed Belfour, and ahead of goaltending legends Terry Sawchuk and Jacques Plante. “C. Joseph” is stamped low on the handle of his wood Louisville from his days with the St. Louis Blues at the outset of his career. Cuju’s black tape knob on the butt end is covered with well-worn white tape. The paddle of the stick exhibits scars of battle with chips along the top edge, but this Curtis Joseph gamer from the early days of his stellar career remains fully intact along the blade with the heel of its white tape job slightly worn through.
