Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Fun pair of red Biltrite NHL pucks from the mid-1970s featuring the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks. A blue Maple Leaf appears in the middle of a white circle screened on the face of one red Biltrite B2 slug with "Toronto Maple Leafs" spelled out around it. The Canucks' original NHL logo of a stylized V within a C in the shape of a hockey stick within a rink appears in green in the middle of a white circle screened on the face of the other puck with "Vancouver Canucks" spelled out around it. Both of these distinctive souvenir NHL pucks have Biltrite's signature "Made in Canada" in raised letters on their otherwise blank reverses, with "Official Canada Officiel" in raised letters on the edge of each puck. Both pucks are in excellent condition overall, with a white spot on the reverse of the Canucks puck and a few marks on the back of the Maple Leafs puck to note.
