Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Intriguing group of "Original Six" game pucks date back to when NHL team logos first started appearing on Art Ross Tyer/CCM pucks, with these four, all featuring back logos without a black outline. A near perfect Montreal Canadiens puck is joined by a red logo Red Wings biscuit in similar chip, nick and slice-free condition, with, however, just a tiny piece missing from the back logo. Two orange logo Wings pucks were still around to have stenciling added to commemorate Gordie Howe's 600th NHL goal, which came in November of 1965. One has a small piece missing from the Wings logo while the other includes crazing to the logos and some minor dried glue on the side. Forever in demand old rubber!
