Three vintage souvenirs commemorating Maurice Richard as the NHL's first 500-goal scorer are presented in this great framed display. An original souvenir puck commemorates the Rocket's first 500th goal (regular season and playoffs, combined) on December 29, 1955 in a 5-2 win over Toronto at the Montreal Forum. The Rocket went on to become the first player to record 500 regular season goals, on October 19, 1957 when he beat Hall-of-Famer Glenn Hall in a 3-1 win over Chicago, also at the Forum. A vintage mini stick features "500e but" stamped on the blade along with Richard's facsimile signature. The Rocket is pictured brandishing his 500th goal puck on the cover of a full issue of the November 1957 issue of Sport Revue. Tastefully displayed in a recessed 22" x 18 1/2" black frame.
