Incredible Maple Leaf Gardens financial records from the height of World War II includes original 1943 life insurance policy certificates for Conn Smythe and Charlie Conacher. Frank Selke signed 24 documents and his initials appear on three more in this binder of MLG records dated from April 1, 1943 to June 30, 1944. Foster Hewitt's signature appears on sixdocuments. Red Horner signed two others and H.F. Bolton's signature appears on six documents. Happy Day initialed two documents, including a breakdown of the distribution of the Maple Leafs players' pool from the 1944 playoff receipts. "The British Treasury Cabinet Binding Case No 12" binder has "No. 10, Maple Leaf Gardens Ltd" and "Journal Vouchers #2700-3030" written on its Grand & Toy label and is housed in its original 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 3 1/2" sleeve.
