Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/22/2010
Stunning 10-karat gold bauble presented to Maple Leafs legend Teeder Kennedy as a memento of his induction into hockey's hallowed halls in Toronto in 1966. An engraved skater plays a real diamond puck at the table while a pair of smaller real diamonds decorates the shoulders punctuating the words "Hockey Hall of Fame Member". One shank displays the logo of the HOF with scrolls above and below reading "T. Kennedy" and "1966". The other side has a sculpted image of the new building with "Est. 1943". This example would have been presented to Kennedy in recent years after they updated the induction ring design. The band is stamped inside with the manufacturer's marking (IGO) and 10K. Size 10.5 and in perfect condition with the original Intergold presentation box. Obtained from the family of former Leafs' captain Ted Kennedy, complete with their signed letter of provenance.
