Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Creamy durene jersey features individually-applied letters spelling "Blazers" cascading down the chest in a style that is very familiar to fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is no accident as the Blazers were a farm team for the Leafs during the period. Game wear is lighter but the left arm displays a series of board burns and stick marks with some blue board paint transfer. The opposite arm shows feint traces of red paint and a few more stick marks and lighter wear appears on the front near the crest. Although we have not identified the player, the number 26 appears in single-layer tackle twill on the back and again on each sleeve. Here is an opportunity to pick up a wonderful old Central Hockey League durene! [red] Addendum; This jersey was originally acquired years ago from a reputable jersey dealer as a 1970s Oklahoma City Blazers game worn jersey, additional research has lead us to believe that this jersey was quite possibly used by the Oklahoma City Blazers in the early-1970s, there are also chances that the jersey could have been used by a different team.
