Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Classic old Sabres jersey from the '70s is a mesh affair with Stall & Dean, Al Dekdebrun Sporting Goods, size 54, washing instructions and "7" tags all sewn in the neck. Tie-neck style features a crimpled Sabres crest, a gold-on-blue tackle twill "HAJT" nameplate and large numbers sewn on the back and sleeves. In fact, the back includes "24" sewn over similar but smaller numbers. The sleeve numbers also have been changed, with however the nameplate matching a style we have a photo of. Game use is light with some red paint transfer on each sleeve. A defensive specialist, Bill Hajt spent his entire 14-year NHL career manning the Sabres blue line, hitting hard and blocking shots in 854 regular season and 80 playoff games.
