The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
Gary Dornhoefer played in 787 games over 14 seasons, scoring 214 goals and 328 assists for 542 points, adding 1291 penalty minutes. At the time of his retirement he was second only to Bobby Clarke as the Philadelphia Flyers’ all time leading scorer. This is Gary’s orange mesh and knit combo gamer worn during the 1977-78 NHL season. It features the round “4” Ashbee memorial patch on the left shoulder and the orange tackle twill “Dornhoefer” name bar across the back. Tagged in the collar with the tiny white “L” fly tag with an added garter-style fight strap in the tail. Lighter game wear on the uniform with a few marks and some staining. This particular jersey has been photo matched to a team issued picture from 1977-78 that will accompany the lot. A great old Flyers mesh from the Seventies... these are quickly drying up!
