New Maple Leafs captain Ted Kennedy hoisted the Stanley Cup after Toronto extended their winning streak in the finals to nine straight games with a four-game sweep of the Detroit Red Wings in 1949. The Cup is perched in front of Kennedy in the team photo that anchors this gorgeous display that includes the Hall of Famer’s autograph along with those of 1948-49 Leafs teammates Cal Gardner, Gus Mortson, Fleming Mackell, Harry Watson, Bill Juzda, Joe Klukay, Sid Smith, Vic Lynn and Howie Meeker. The display is presented in a 32” x 24” wood frame that features a “skate marks on ice” silver matte. A gold colored plaque lists the results of each game of Toronto’s four-game sweep of Detroit.
