The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
A one-time Montreal Canadiens’ first round choice, Brent Bilodeau failed to deliver on the potential that led to the Habs making him the 17th overall choice in the 1991 entry draft. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound defenceman wore this No. 5 white mesh Team USA Tackla jersey which exhibits great stick marks on both sleeves during the 1991 world junior tournament in Germany. He spent two seasons with the Canadiens AHL farm team in Fredericton, beginning a long minor league career that never led to an NHL game. Bilodeau tired after the 2004-05 season, his sixth in a row as a player-assistant coach with the Johnstown Chiefs. He remained in the ECHL as assistant coach of the Las Vegas Wranglers before becoming the head coach of the CHL Wichita Wranglers in the summer of 2008.
