This exceptional lot of Stanley Cup memorabilia includes a startling 16” x 20” print of New York Islanders left wing Bourne skating alongside team captain Denis Potvin as he hoists the Stanley Cup following the Islanders third straight Cup win in Vancouver in 1982. A silver plated metal cylinder with an Islanders logo on top is encased in Lucite and lists the entire roster of each of the Islanders’ four straight Cup champions from the early-1980s. Nine Islanders Dynasty posters with original signatures from Gillies, Tonelli, Langevin, Smith, Howatt, Bossy, Trottier, Jean Potvin, Bourne, Denis Potvin and Nystrom are offered as is along with an original copy of the May 26, 1980 Newsday special section on the Islanders’ 1980 championship and a series of eight original Newsday Stanley Cup posters spanning the Islanders’ dynasty. A copy of the June 3, 1985 edition of US magazine featuring an article about Bourne caring for his son Jeffrey, who is afflicted with spina bifida, highlights a group of magazines and yearbooks. Two 8” x 10” original photos of Bourne celebrating with the Stanley Cup and a laminated game story on pressboard from the 1981 Cup clinching win complete this great collection, which comes along with Bourne’s signed LOA.
