The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
A stick autographed by a Team Canada 1972 hero and another from one of the greatest of all American netminders are the highlights of this fantastic lot of five goalie sticks. Montreal Canadiens Hall-of-Famer Ken Dryden has autographed the blade of this remarkable vintage team issued Sher-Wood stick. There is no tape on the stick, which has “DRYDEN, K. 29” stamped on the shaft and was never used. Mike Richter’s blue Sher-Wood stick is factory stamped “07 Aout 1991” and clearly saw plenty of game use as is evident from the significant chipping on the inside edge of the paddle, which its two original and very frayed silver, orange and black official NHL bands. Daniel Bouchard has autographed his Quebec Nordiques blue Louisville goalie stick which is factory stamped “Feb 19 1981” and still has its original white tape covering the outrageous curve of the blue blade. The Denis Herron Cooper goalie stick has a straight blade while an unidentified lefthanded Victoriaville stick completes this amazing lot of goalie sticks that exhibit tape residue in two bands where the sticks were bound. Comes with an LOA.
