The Jacques Laperriere Auction - Fall 2008
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/21/2008
A lifelong member of the Canadiens’ organization, Lappy suddenly found himself on strange ground with the Boston Bruins in 1997 when he joined Pat Burns’ coaching staff. A Boston Garden brick, a piece of the arena’s famed basketball parquet floor, and a yellow Garden seat are among the standouts from the collection Laperriere amassed in four seasons behind the Bruins’ bench. Lappy has signed the back of the Garden seat with the number 10 and “Boston Garden 1928-1995” painted on it. A wooden display case with “Boston Garden Parquet Floor” holds a one-inch thick, 4” x 2” piece of the famed basketball court and the brick has a plaque indicating that it is a genuine Garden artifact. Laperriere has autographed two game used Bruins official NHL pucks among the five pucks in this lot. Ray Bourque has signed in gold sharpie a Boston Symphony tribute ticket from 1999 and Lappy has signed a number of team and individual photos and a lineup sheet from a 1995 preseason game between the Habs and Bruins at Boston Garden. A Bruins CCM bag and Pro Player zip pullover and several Bruins Christmas ornaments are also included in this lot of Laperriere’s Bruins memorabilia that comes along with his signed LOA.
