Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Amazing piece is this Ken Dryden game-used rookie stick. Whether it's from his six-game NHL debut at the end of the 1970-71 season, his Conn Smythe run through Bobby Orr's Bruins and Bobby Hull's Black Hawks to his first Stanley Cup, or his sensational 1971-72 Calder Trophy rookie campaign, this Dryden Sher-Wood gamer is something special any way you look at it. Ken's original tape jobs remain on the knob and on the blade, which has a small hole drilled throught the top end of the toe, likely for display purposes. The upper shaft, including the "Dryden" stamp and the knob, is covered with reddish-brown grease/staining, which also is a result of previous display. None of that diminishes this historic Ken Dryden game-used rookie stick's future display in an appropriate Habs/HOF goalie shrine.
