Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Hailing from the last Stanley Cup championship the city of Montreal celebrated, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by consecutive 50-goal scorer John LeClair in 1992-93. Maska Ultrafil labeling with size “54” fly tag sit along the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the back bottom hem. Fashioned with the most famous team crest in hockey fully administered in tackle twill, the white V-neck has been embellished with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with the 1993 NHL All-Star Game crest just above the right breast. We should note that a hole over the right elbow appears to match LeClair’s 1993-94 Leaf hockey card, but the image is not high resolution enough to call a photo-match.
Great game-use is exhibited on the jersey, with marks over the lower front and sleeves, along with small holes/slits near each elbow section. There are also small areas of red paint transfer, with spots of heavy pilling within the interior.
