Originally spending nine seasons in Philadelphia as the Ramblers before relocating to Cherry Hill in 1964, the Jersey Devils would also see nine seasons of action in the EHL, reaching the league finals in their third season of 1966-67. The club can include a number of past NHL stars including Vic Stasiuk, Rosaire Paiement, Bobby Taylor and others. This great collection of rarely seen Devils’ player photos range from the club’s first season in 1964-65, to 1969-70, and total 30. Included in the 8” x 10” range, we have a single photo from 1964-65 (Green), four photos from 1965-66 (Lalande, Armour, Woit and Szydlowski), eight photos from 1966-67 (Pelletier, Sarrazin, Defelice, O’Donnell, Stasiuk, Rafter, Firn and Stu Nahan (assistant to the president), two photos from 1969-60 (Lee and one other) and a team photo from 1968-69 (trimmed along the bottom border). Lastly, in the 5” x 7” range we have fourteen photos from the 1969-70 EHL season including Caley, Kitchen (team captain), Stratton, Plant, Szydlowski, Turmel and others. All of the photos in the collection are blank-backed, with the condition fairly even across the board, with the majority exhibiting expected handling and corner wear with the odd crease, wrinkle or blemish.
