Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Hoisting Lord Stanley’s iconic hardware an impressive eight times as a player, Jacques Lemaire scored the Cup-winning goal in two of those championships – one of only six players in history to achieve the feat. We have a team-signed stick that was used by the Hall of Fame member during the Stanley Cup championship season of 1977-78, one that witnessed Lemaire record his career-high 97 points. A Canadien Custom Made Professional model, “Jacques Lemaire” appears over the upper shaft in factory graphics, with the original black spiral tape pattern over the handle and bare blackened blade. Cracks are visible over the top and bottom edges of the blade, with a few marks and red paint transfer to the shaft. Thirteen have signed the top and underside of the shaft in blue ballpoint, including HOFers Shutt, Robinson, Lapointe, Savard, Gainey and Ken Dryden.
The additional signers include Houle, Mondou, Risebrough, Tremblay, Bouchard and Gilles Lupien. The signatures all display well including the Dryden, with just a hint of light fading.
