A magnificent miniature Stanley Cup was presented to Jacques Lemaire after he helped lead the Montreal Canadiens back to the NHL winners' circle in May of 1973. After their unexpected Cup victory two years earlier, the Canadiens were ousted in the quarter-finals by a strong Rangers team in 1972, but responded by being the class of the league in '72-73. The Habs disposed of the Sabres in six games and took out the Flyers in five before beating the Black Hawks in six, with Yvan Cournoyer scoring the Cup-winner. The names of the men who brought another Stanley Cup parade to Montreal are engraved on the barrel of this tantalizing trophy. Guy Lafleur, Larry Robinson and Steve Shutt are there for the first time, as well as head coach Scotty Bowman. Altogether 14 Hall-of-Famers can be spotted, along with the supporting cast. The silver-plated trophy stands 13" tall and displays cleanable tarnish, with some loss to the silver plating on the inside of the bowl. The green felt bottom is autographed by Jacques Lemaire, whose signed letter of authenticity will accompany this treasured miniature Stanley Cup from his personal collection.
