Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Hall of Famer Bobby Clarke has signed his Sherwood PMP 5030, one of six hockey stars sticks in this outstanding lot. Clarke’s black sharpie autograph appears on the blade of this stick with a May 4, 1987 factory stamp. Clarke had retired at that point - he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame that year. Nonetheless, he was Philadelphia’s general manager as the Flyers made it for the second time in three years to the Stanley Cup final, where they fell in seven games to Edmonton. Rod Brind’Amour has added "All the best" to his signature on the bare blade of a white Sherwood gamer that has its original white taped butt end. Mark Recchi has signed the heel of his black Canadien beside its original black tape job on the blade. Three righthanded gamers include a black Adam Oates Sherwood that features the playmaking center’s stubby stick blade. Donald Audette’s white, purple and black Titan is cut very short and a Stephane Richer white Chimo has survived the two-time 50-goal scorer’s booming slapshots intact.
