Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024

Helping lead the Edmonton Oilers to the franchise's fifth Stanley Cup championship in just seven seasons in 1990, Esa Tikkanen enjoyed a high-scoring regular season, with 63 points in 79 games. His playoff performance that season was even more impressive, netting 24 points in just 22 games, which placed him in fifth place for all playoff scorers. We are pleased to be able to offer Tikkanen's breathtaking 1990 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup championship 10K gold and diamond ring. Size 10 1/2 with an approx weight of 36 grams, a bed of small diamonds cover the tableau, encompassing 5 slightly larger diamonds, with “Stanley Cup Champions” in raised and angled letters, along with “1990”. The right shank has “5 Stanley Cup Championships” above, with an image of the Cup and the years won below, while the left feature’s a centralized Oilers logo, with “Tikkanen” above, and “10” below. The inner band is stamped "Jostens 14K". Worn proudly by a true NHL star, the ring does show wear including numerous scratches, nicks and dings, especially along the outer band and edges. These imperfections can be quickly forgiven, as rings of this quality and pedigree rarely surface in the hobby. Hailing from Esa Tikkanen's personal collection, his signed LOA will accompany.
