Habs captain Emile "Butch" Bouchard received these two mugs back in the day to commemorate the 1951 royal visit of Princess Elizabeth. These scarce and spendidly preserved "Visite Royale Joute de Hockey" brown ceramic mugs are among those presented to players and staff at the October 29 game at the Montreal Forum when the future Queen Elizabeth II witnessed a Dickie Moore hat trick in the Canadiens' 6-1 win over New York. Each mug stands a shade under 5" tall and the mouth measures 3 1/4" in diameter, with "Canadiens vs Rangers" and the date of the game. Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA. Manufacturer “Coiteux” appears under the bottom of each mug.
