Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
The Montreal Canadiens won their fourth straight regular season title in 1946-47 and commemorated it in style. This splendid and substantial silver-plated pitcher was presented to deceased HOFer Emile "Butch" Bouchard, who headed up a defence corps that led the Habs to a 34-16-10 mark for 78 points. Maurice Richard enjoyed a 45-goal season and Bill Durnan copped his fourth straight Vezina Trophy. "Club De Hockey Canadien – Champions NHL 1946-47 – Emile Bouchard" is engraved on one side of the pitcher, which stands 7 1/2" tall and is wonderfully preserved with the silver-plated finish worn-out on a few areas. "S.P. Copper" and "Sheffield Reproduction" for the pattern/model are stamped below three hallmarks on the bottom. Comes with Butch Bouchard's signed LOA.
