Rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton got good use out of his 2012-13 Boston Bruins game-worn third jersey judging by its team repairs and other game wear. Picked ninth overall by Boston in the first round of the 2011 NHL Draft, Hamilton scored five goals and added 11 assists for 16 points in 42 regular season games with the Bruins as a 19-year-old. He also notched three assists in seven playoff games in the first two rounds in the spring of 2013 as the Bruins went on to reach the Stanley Cup Finals, only to fall to Chicago in six games. Hamilton’s Bruins third jersey from his rookie season has his No. “27” handwritten on the size 56 flag tag in the neck. Game wear includes two team repairs on the right sleeve, which also has board burns and unrepaired burn holes near the cuff and between the numbers. There is a third sewing fix on the left sleeve, which also has board burns. The MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2012-2013 Season patch sewn inside the rear tail has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the Bruins LOA that accompanies this rookie season gamer.
