Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Known as The Bandit throughout his career, goalie Daniel Berthiaume was a junior standout who won 81 games while playing for five NHL teams, including his last stop in Ottawa, where he played his final game in 1993-94. Berthiaume most likely wore this mask while playing for the AHL Prince Edward Island Senators that season, where he wore No. 32, which is painted on the backplate that also displays his “Bandit” nickname. "Frank Cipra" and "M.Brown '94" signatures sit inside the chin and “J Wright” for Jerry Wright is inside the top back inside edge along with the mask maker’s phone number. The straps and all inner padding remain in place and game use includes small chips on the chin and various marks.
