Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction December 2022

Scoring the most home runs in the majors, the powerful 1952 Brooklyn Dodgers captured the NL pennant but lost a close-fought seven game series to the rival New York Yankees in the Fall Classic. The Bums would get their revenge on the Bombers three seasons later. We offer a 1952 Dodgers team signed baseball signed by 27 including 7 legendary Hall of Famers. A Spalding official National League Warren Giles model, Charlie Dressen appears across the sweet spot, with notable standouts to include Jackie Robinson (fairly bold and clean signature), Roy Campanella (slight fading), Duke Snider (slightly scuffed), Pee Wee Reese (moderate fading), Gil Hodges (bright and bold), Billy Herman (moderate fading), Dick Williams (moderate fading), Carl Furillo (slight fading), Billy Cox (slight fading) and Andy Pafko (slight fading). Additional signers include King, Terwilliger, Labine, Erskine, King, Morgan and others. The blue ballpoint signatures in general show light fading but are easily decipherable, with some general toning and a few scuff marks to the ball. A JSA LOA will accompany but it states that the ball is from 1951 instead of 1952.
